Available from 1 JANUARY - 31 DECEMBER

Enjoy a quick 6 night tour to the famous Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe and the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia. Victoria Falls is one of the 7 wonders of the world and is definitely a must-see if you find yourself in the Southern end of the African continent.

Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's biggest reserve, home to a profusion of wildlife, including giraffe, lion, zebra and approximately 40 000 elephants. It provides sanctuary for all of the country's endangered species, including a population of wild dogs thought to be among the most sizeable surviving groups on the continent.

The Lower Zambezi National Park is the newest of Zambia's exceptional, undeveloped wildlife areas. And together with Zimbabwe's Mana Pools Reserve the area provides a massive transfronteir wildlife sanctuary. Most activities are concentrated along the Zambezi as this is what draws the animals and aside from game drives and walking safaris the area offers canoe trips and tiger fishing.

Eight comfortable en-suite tents and one family unit, along with a viewing deck, lounge and dining area stretching out onto an open deck with a fire pit, together offer the quintessential Hwange experience. Game activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles in the early mornings and evenings, while during the siesta hours, guests can view game from their tent verandas, as thirsty wildlife comes down to the waterhole to drink.

Sip chilled white wine, or Gin & Tonics whilst nibbling on canapes, as well as the sumptuous high tea, whilst you glide up to Elephants feeding on the shoreline.

Day 4

After breakfast depart on a guided tour of the falls and Mpala Village. First stop is the Big Tree - a massive baobab many hundreds of years old with a girth of some 22 meters. The tour continues on to the Falls themselves, starting at Livingston's statue and Devil's Cataract and proceeding through the rainforest to Danger Point. The total walk is 3km with many spectacular view points along the way. Raincoats are available for hire at additional cost. The day's insight into real African rural life starts a 15 minute drive out of town towards the Airport, making your way to Mpala Village.  The guide will do the introductions. The village head will take the guests around the different homesteads in the surrounding area as well as the borehole. Guests will then be taken to the rural school where they will interact with the school children, teachers and headmaster (not possible during school holidays and on weekends). Transfer back to town early afternoon.

This afternoon you will be taken on an elephant back safari activity. Clients are transferred approximately 16km to The Elephant Camp for a 15-minute introductory talk on African elephants and their relationship with man, as well as a safety talk. Clients are then introduced to the elephants and their "Ndunas". After a short familiarisation with the elephants, the elephant back safari through the bush begins (1.5-2 hours ride). Upon return to Camp, breakfast or snacks are served depending on the time of day, and clients are then transferred back to Vic Falls.

Day 5

Early this morning you will be transferred across the border to Livingstone Airport on the Zambian side of the Falls. Here you will board your scheduled flight to Lusaka Airport with a connecting flight to the Jeki airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park. On arrival at Jeki airstrip you will be met and transferred to the Kasaka River Lodge where you will enjoy (2) nights in a luxury chalet including: all meals, game viewing activities and park fees.

Enjoy an afternoon safari activity.

Overnight: Kasaka River Lodge

Zambia's Lower Zambezi valley is one of Africa's last great wilderness areas. Renowned for breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife, it's also home to Kasaka River Lodge.

Kasaka is a 20 bed tented camp offering an authentic and memorable safari experience. Nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Chiawa Game Management area, it is set in a natural bush environment with each chalet secluded amongst the native flora, only 4 kilometers by road from the Lower Zambezi National Park.

This is the only stretch on the 2,700 kilometer course of the Zambezi River where one finds National Parks on both banks of the river - the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia and the famed Mana Pools World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe.

The river extends the length of the property and there are breathtaking views over the water with sightings of buffalo, elephant, hippo and crocodile. The philosophy of combining a tranquil, off the beaten track destination for guests with support of the local environment, culture and natural resources is our dream.

Day 6

Day spent enjoying morning and afternoon safari activities. The middle of the day can be spent at leisure.

Day 7

Today you will be transferred to Jeki airstrip in time for your flight to Lusaka Airport. Here you will board your flight back to Johannesburg.
